The volumes of waste send to landfill are decreased by composing, because organically degradable waste usually makes up to 60 percent of household waste. Composting is a highly effective way of utilizing biologically degradable materials, whereby organic waste is transformed into loose soil. There are various ways of using compost, which improves and fertilizes the soil and maintains the natural circulation of organic substances.

All accepted waste must be accompanied by a basic waste description or written information on the specific characteristic of the appearance and consistency of the waste, and an expert report pursuant to Annex 1(5) (5.2) of Decree 294/2005 Coll.
